Cenote is a mobile app that helps licensed professionals track their continuing education (CE) credentials and compliance documents in one place. It's built for nurses, architects, physical therapists, pharmacists, and anyone else who has to maintain a license through ongoing education.
If you've ever scrambled to find a certificate the week before your license renewal, Cenote is for you.
Cenote supports all 50 U.S. states and over 100 licensed professions. When you set up your tracker, you select your state and job title and Cenote automatically pulls in your state's specific CE requirements.
If your state-profession combination isn't in our database yet, let us know through Request a Feature and we'll prioritize adding it.
Tap the + button on your dashboard, point your camera at a certificate or completion record, and Cenote takes care of the rest. Our AI reads the document, extracts the course name, hours, and category, then files it in the right folder automatically.
You can also upload existing PDFs or image files from your phone if your certificates are already digital.
Yes — the core Cenote app is free to download and use. The free tier includes compliance tracking, smart folder organization, and three document uploads per month.
Cenote Pro ($9.99/month or $89.99/year) unlocks unlimited uploads, Cenote Insights, Zip & Send, automated renewal reminders, and priority support. You can upgrade or cancel anytime from inside the app.
Zip & Send is a Pro feature that bundles an entire folder of credentials into a single zip file and emails it straight to your employer, licensing board, or anyone else who needs to see your documents. One tap, one email, done.
Your documents are stored encrypted on secure cloud infrastructure. Authentication is handled through industry-standard providers, and your session tokens are kept in your device's encrypted secure storage — never plain text.
Database access is enforced at the row level: even if someone bypassed our application layer, the database itself only returns data tied to your account. We don't share or sell your information.
Yes — Cenote Pro sends push notifications well in advance of your renewal deadlines. We also flag missing CE categories and tell you exactly how many hours you still need so you can plan ahead instead of scrambling.
Not at launch — Cenote is currently iOS-only. An Android version is on our roadmap but isn't scheduled for the initial release. If you'd like to be notified when Android support arrives, drop us a note through Request a Feature.
If you cancel your Pro subscription, your account drops back to the free tier — all your existing documents stay in place and you can keep tracking them. You just lose access to Pro features like unlimited uploads and Zip & Send.
If you delete your account entirely, your documents and data are permanently removed from our systems.
Open the side menu inside the Cenote app and tap Report a Problem or Request a Feature — your message goes straight to the team. Pro subscribers get priority response times.
